Attorney Koo Bon-jin, while serving as the Director of the Public Prosecution and Litigation Division at the Supreme Prosecutors’ Office, translated and published “Theater Tips and Strategies for Jury Trials” (originally by David Ball) with three public defenders in the United States in 2007. Initially published by the Supreme Prosecutors’ Office, the book was later republished by Pakyoungsa. At that time, there was no jury system in South Korea, but it was anticipated that a jury system would be introduced within the next ten years, and this preparation was part of that anticipation. Prosecutor Bonjin Koo conducted jury trial and speech training for prosecutors, which became immensely popular and was featured in articles by major newspapers like the Dong-A Ilbo.
