This elegant two-dimensional ornament, shaped like a paddle and crowned with a bear head, features a flattened bear face on both the front and back. The jade is highly polished and transparent, exhibiting a smooth and refined surface. Fourteen soft flutes run horizontally along the paddle, while a biconical hole pierces the end, suggesting its use as an ornament.
The facial features resemble those found in the thick-bodied bear category, with defining characteristics such as upward-projecting earflaps, circular incised eyes, and long, rubber-like lips forming an oval-shaped, closed mouth. A comparable example is housed in the Liaoning Provincial Museum.
