This jade plaque appears to have been made in the early period. The craftsmanship is unrefined, and the design lacks sophistication. By the middle period of Hongshan culture, jade artifacts had already reached a very high level of skill, with little difference compared to those from the later period. However, many jade artifacts from the early period show noticeable differences.
