The jade plaques of the Hongshan culture were continuously produced from the early to the late stages. This plaque appears to be from the earliest period, as its design and carving quality are significantly inferior. An ornament resembling a bow tie, crafted from green jade that has subtly altered in color over time. This plaque is notably thicker than others of its kind. The central section features upper and lower extensions reminiscent of fins, while the left and right ends form loops. Each loop contains a perforation. Hongshan Culture plaques exhibit a wide variety of shapes, but this particular design stands out for its distinctiveness.
