Kim Jun-yeop’s Letter (1968)

Kim Jun-yeop (June 20, 1920 – June 7, 2011) was a Korean independence activist and educator. Born in Cheongdo, Gyeongsangbuk-do, he joined the Joseon Independence Alliance during his studies in Japan under Japanese colonial rule, thereby actively engaging in the independence movement. He later fled to China, graduated from the Nanjing Central Military Academy, and joined the Korean Liberation Army, working with the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea to further the independence cause.

After liberation, he served as a professor of Political Science and Diplomacy at Korea University, where he made significant academic contributions. From 1982 to 1985, he held the position of President at Korea University. Throughout his life, he was dedicated to the spirit of independence, contributing to the development of education and scholarship in Korea. His major works include *A Military History of the Joseon Revolution* and *A History of the Korean National Movement*. Kim Junyeop devoted his life to independence and scholarship, leaving a lasting legacy on Korea’s history and future.
