This Hongshan jade pendant features a pierced hole at the center of the upper part and four rounded hooks on both sides—two of which are identical, while the others differ in shape. The artifact is made from exceptionally hard jade, indicating advanced craftsmanship within the Hongshan culture. Similar pendants have been excavated from Tomb No. 24 at Site 2, Mound 1, and Tomb No. 1 at Site 5, Mound 1 of the Niuheliang archaeological site, suggesting a ceremonial or symbolic function linked to authority or identity.
