The bird sculpture, identifiable as an eagle, is crafted from pale, glossy green jade with a clear, moist, and finely textured crystal that is smoothly translucent. The eagle is nearly square in shape, with a triangular head and a pair of round, raised ornamental eyes. Key features include two circular eyes on the prominent head with a distinct beak, two grooves forming the chord of the left and right wings, and three grooves defining the tail feathers. An eye-shaped perforation runs through the back of the artifact. The sculpture primarily exhibits two-dimensional form, focusing on the front and back. Despite its simplicity, the eagle is captured in a moment of peak power and activity. Comparable examples can be found in the Balinzuoqi Museum and the Aurora Museum.
