This jade axe is short and slightly trapezoidal, with no perforations, featuring a flat surface and sharp edges. Made of dark green jade, it shows partial discoloration. Given the high quality of the jade, it is presumed to have been excavated from a tomb rather than a residential site. In Hongshan culture, axes without perforations are more common than those with them, and some axes show one side left unpolished, preserving its natural form. Similar examples can be found in the Aohan Prehistory Museum and the Aurora Art Museum.
